Interventional Pain Management

Back discomfort is the third most prevalent reason individuals see doctors, according to Mayo Clinic research. Fortunately, significant progress has been achieved in detecting and treating back pain in recent years. Interventional spine medicine is an innovative field that combines cutting-edge treatments to help patients live more productive lives and feel better.

NY Spine Care Interventional Pain Management combines minimally invasive methods with advanced imaging technologies to locate and treat pain at its root cause. In many circumstances, this enables the patient to take a more moderate approach and avoid surgery entirely.

In rare cases, surgery is unavoidable. Historically, spine surgery was performed as “open surgery,” which required a large incision. Minimally invasive means that surgery can now be conducted with a considerably smaller incision, causing less harm to the adjacent muscles and ligaments. This is often done as an outpatient procedure. This new method lowers the risk of infections, complications, and blood loss. Outpatient procedures also produce a reduction in overall discomfort, recovery time, and less risk of dependency on postoperative pain medication.
